Just 50ppm of PVC in PET processing at 280°C can cause thermal degradation, yellowing, black spots, and chain scission — rendering the entire batch unusable. A single PVC bottle label mixed into a ton of PET flakes can destroy product quality for the whole batch.

Hyperspectral technology can reduce PVC residue to <50ppm, meeting food-grade rPET requirements. However, "complete removal" to 0ppm is theoretically impossible; EFSA standards accept <100ppm PVC. Through a two-stage sorting configuration, we can consistently control it below 30ppm.
Single-unit throughput is 3-8 tons/hour depending on belt width and flake size. We support multi-unit parallel configurations — a 4-unit line can reach 20-30 tons/hour to meet large-scale production needs.
